Arnold, CA...Chapel in the Pines is an Evangelical Covenant church located in the Sierra Nevada mountain community of Arnold. Arnold is an attraction for many visitors due to the many recreation opportunities, such as Big Trees State Park, Bear Valley Ski Resort, Lake Alpine, Ebbetts Pass, and more.

Arnold, CA...Our goal is to bring back the feel of the old Sunday Paper. It was a day for features, profiles and most importantly the Rotogravure section with all the color ads that had kids begging mom & dad for the latest toys, Dad checking out the new hardware and automotive specials and Moms everywhere looking for the best for their families. So it was a day to let the hard news and crime stories wait till Monday if they could and focus on fun, family and of course Shopping. Traffic & Fire Update....Boat Trailer Lost Wheel & Started 300 Acre Grass Fire Near Milton Rd / Rock Creek Rd

Milton, CA...A boat trailer lost a wheel and was the cause of the fast moving 300 acre Coyote Fire. Forward progress has been stopped. A reminder to check those lug nuts, tire pressure & grease those wheel bearings.
Every year we see a fire or two like this one.

Valley Springs, CA...On July 14th, 2024, at approximately 5:45 A.M., the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance in the 2000 block of Hartvickson Lane in Valley Springs. When deputies arrived, they found the victim tending to injuries and learned that the suspect had fled the area. Deputies obtained the description of the suspect and suspect vehicle to alert other deputies who were responding.
