Arnold, CA...The Greater Arnold Business Association (GABA) is sponsoring the 39th Annual "Independence Day Parade" in Arnold on Saturday, July 6th, 2019. This parade is one of the biggest draws of spectators, local and secondary home residents and tourists to our town, reaching 8 to 10,000 visitors for the day. We celebrate our independence day in conjunction with other civic community groups such as: Arnold Lions, Arnold Rotary, and the Ebbetts Pass Firefighters Association.

Arnold, Ca...Greater Arnold Business Association presents the 9th Annual Arnold Art, Wine & Music Festival on Saturday, August 16, at Cedar Center (The Hub) in downtown Arnold. Directions are easy – go East on Highway 4 through Arnold until you come to El Dorado Savings Bank on the left. Turn left onto Oak Circle. The park is between Hwy 4 and Oak Circle. There is no entrance charge. Cedar Center offers a grassy, shady area, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and beat the heat!

Calaveras County, CA...Update 4/28/11: Michael has received some very generous donations from our viewers! The family is so thankful! "I am so excited for him, what a wonderful opportunity he has before him and with his drive to do the best he can, hopefully he will place during the state competition. He is going to go back to the IGA in Copperopolis again tomorrow with his project to answer questions and share what he has discovered. Hopefully by the end of the day he will have reached his goal , he has a baseball game on Saturday morning" States Michael's Grandmother, Cindi Bent.....Local 8th grader, Michael Legge is headed to the State Science Fair! Michael won 1st place at the Calaveras County Science Fair in his division with his project "Mysterious Bacteria vs. Evil Tobacco." Michael is a student at Mark Twain Elementary and needs our help! Here is a letter from Michael: "Hello my name is Michael Legge and I am an 8th grade student at Mark Twain Elementary School. Mark Twain doesn't require students to do science fair projects but I went out and did one on my own. .....

Angels Camp, CA....The Friends of the Calaveras County Fair are hosting a Pre-Fair Dinner Dance and local mustache display. The Whiskerino Dinner Dance is planned for Saturday, April 30, 2011. The Whiskerino is the official kick off event leading up to the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee May 19 – 22, 2011. The Whiskerino has a fine historic tradition in Calaveras County. Although the Whiskerino dates back to the 1940s it was revitalized in the 1950’s and held for the next forty years. In 1955 Bob Petithome, Angels Camp resident, won the award for best full beard. He says the best part of the event was seeing “all the slick chins” try to grow beards.......

Arnold, CA....Here is the latest news from GABA, The Greater Arnold Business Association....GABA will hold their July Mixer on Thursday, July 17th from 5:30~7pm at White Pines Lake in Lions Grove. Come on out and spend some time at our beautiful lake, now more enjoyable than ever due to the hard work of the White Pines Park Committee. Hosted in July by Bruce Tallakson~Tax Services and White Glove Cleaning Service. They will provide food and GABA will do beverages. And, of course, there will be a raffle as well....
