Ione, CA...On August 27, 2016 – 9am to 4 pm CalaverasGROWN’s Community & Forest Recovery Program is teaming up with the Jefferson Center for Holistic Management for a workshop at the Pope Ranch in Ione CA. The following topics will be covered: using livestock to heal land after fire, re-planning after fire burns feed supplies, using livestock as tools for reducing fuels, reading the land and identifying ecosystem processes, planned grazing to enhance ecosystem function and build drought-tolerant soils, planning for profit & peace of mind in a ranching or farming experience
