Daylong family celebration of the historic gold rush town of Murphys CA and its Irish heritage, Saturday, March 21. 8-10:30 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast, Congregational Church. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Festivities will include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, pony rides, a wide variety of foods and beverages, and a raffle with a trip to Ireland as grand prize. At 11 a.m. a parade featuring bagpipes, marching groups, horses and other animals, classic cars, a ten-foot-tall leprechaun and much more will make its way down Main Street. Irish Day is presented each year by the Murphys Business Association. There is no admission charge. Parking and shuttle service is available at Ironstone Vineyards on Six Mile Road.
