Structure Fire Displaces Four Adults, Four Minors & Takes Life of Family Parrot
Valley Springs, CA...On the 25th Firefighters from Calaveras Consolidated, CalFire, San Andreas, and Linden/Peters responded to a residential structure fire on Greer Way in Rancho Calaveras - Valley Springs. On our arrival, the fire involved the outside deck, two bedrooms, and was in the attic.
All of the occupants made it out of the home safely, and the fire displaced four adults and four minors.
Red Cross was on the scene for assistance.
The family parrot/cockatoo perished in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
