Fascism always comes from right wing politics in history.
The signs of creeping fascism is the capturing of the judicial, law enforcement of a country.
On Jan 6th , the players to deny Democracy and illegally install a loser of an election had a well placed cadre of players in many aspects of the effort to force a coup of the elected president.
Many in law enforcement were sympathetic or more towards the big lie that the election was stolen. Despite 60+ challenges in the state courts, and the SCOTUS, these players executed their plan to subvert the will of the majority of voters and stop the transfer of power. This was an open coup attempt.
It was planned for many months in advance, it was no incidental organic event.
Fascism is coming to America, it is the insidious theft the power of the majority to govern themselves , and be replaced by those who chose to enrich themselves instead of serving the public. It is by definition the seamless integration of corporate and government sectors.It ignores the will , rights of self determination of the people.
The election of 2022 is a seminal event that will determine if America is captured by lies and the lust for power by the few of wealth, by any means, or whether the people will decide their future. In many GOP states, this cornerstone of Democracy has been replaced by a partisan legislature who will place their chosen ones in power, as 22 states have codified into law. This is but one example of Democracy lost.

The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power... They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest. Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection.
