Calaveras Board Selects Jack Garamendi as Board Chair for 2024

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors has elected District 2 Supervisor Jack Garamendi as Board Chair for 2024. District 3 Supervisor Martin Huberty was selected to be Vice Chair for 2024.

Sure seems like D2 languished under garamendi.

Railroad, Glencoe, and West Point are seeing business/schools close.
Letting him have leadership role when he is leaving is a bad move. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but I have not been impressed with him as a supervisor.

As far a new supes autumn andahl and Trevor whittke both seem like they have D2s interests in mind.

Turner is a no go for me, jumping around county gov jobs and I just think she sees this as a political move.
The other lady doesn’t even register.

Would be great to see town halls, and people interested in local politics again.

    Garamendi is a below replacement level supervisor. It will good to see him go. Not surprised the little scary cat decided not to run. He would have been trounced by any real opponent.
