Another Round of Winter Weather Rolling Through

Arnold, CA...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 9 inches, locally higher amounts possible near the Sierra crest. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Snow levels 4000 to 6000 feet this afternoon, lowering to 1500 to 3000 feet Monday morning. Minor accumulations will be possible in the foothills above 2000 feet Monday morning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PDT
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 9
inches, locally higher amounts possible near the Sierra crest.
Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope
Northern Sierra Nevada.

* WHEN...From 4 PM Sunday to 8 AM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels 4000 to 6000 feet this
afternoon, lowering to 1500 to 3000 feet Monday morning. Minor
accumulations will be possible in the foothills above 2000
feet Monday morning.

Breezy, colder. A chance of heavy rain and snow showers early in the evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms until early morning. Rain showers likely late in the evening. Heavy snow showers in the late evening and early morning, then a chance of snow showers late in the night. Lows 8 to 23 higher elevations...20 to 30 lower elevations. Snow accumulation up to 2 inches lower elevations...except 3 to 9 inches higher elevations. Snow level 5000 feet in the evening. Prevailing southwest winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the west 5 to 15 mph after midnight. Gusts up to 50 mph. Over ridges...prevailing southwest winds 30 to 40 mph decreasing to 20 to 30 mph after midnight.

Mostly cloudy. At higher elevations, a slight chance of snow showers in the morning, then a chance of snow showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. At lower elevations, a slight chance of thunderstorms and snow showers in the afternoon. Highs 18 to 33 higher elevations...33 to 43 lower elevations. Prevailing northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph.
