Services Today for Alton “Ike” Lowell Callahan who Passed Away at 90

Angels Camp, CA...Alton “Ike” Lowell Callahan, 90, of Carson Hill died on October 6, 2017 at his home with his grandson Travis by his side. Ike was born in Angels Camp and resided most of his life in Carson Hill. Mr. Callahan was married to his late wife, Jacquelyn Lee Callahan for 41 years before her passing in 1997. He was retired from the Calaveras Cement Plant. Ike or “Ikey” as some know him loved gardening and fishing and was an excellent cook known for his delicious soups and “spaghetti sauce”. He was honorably discharged from the army in 1947. Ike love big band music and played in a band in his earlier years. He enjoyed his cigars and wine and loved watching sports.





He leaves behind his two daughters Laurie Ziehlke of Vallecito, CA. and Patricia Noah of Tracy, CA. He was father-in- law to Steve Ziehlke of Vallecito, CA. and James Noah of Tracy, CA. He was a loving grandfather (Pop) to Sean and Angie (Croshaw) Ziehlke of Murphys CA, Travis Ziehlke of Carson Hill, CA, Stassie and Casey Weathers of Sacramento, CA., and Jensen Noah of Tracy, CA. He even got to meet his great granddaughter Emilia Ziehlke of Murphys, CA.

Friends are invited to attend grave side services on October 27, 2017 at 2 PM at the Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora on Lyons Bald Mountain Drive in Sonora. Memorial donations can be made in his name to the Bret Harte High School Sports or Music Programs.
