Jamestown Collision Leads To DUI Arrest
Jamestown, CA...On April 12, 2017 at approximately 9:40 pm, 21 year old Sonora resident, Abigail Stewart, was driving her 2004 Subaru Forester northbound on Sawmill Flat Road approaching the intersection with Rambler Road, while under the influence of alcohol. Due to her high level of alcohol intoxication, Ms. Stewart allowed her vehicle to drift off of the east road edge. The Subaru continued along the road until it struck a large rock and then a large tree. The large tree effectively stopped Ms. Stewart’s vehicle.
After the collision, two passing motorists stopped to assist Ms. Stewart. Ms. Stewart sustained minor injuries as a result of this collision and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
