Copper Fire Protection District Receives New Ambulance

Copperopolis, CA...On February 4th, the Copperopolis Fire Protection District was delivered a new ambulance. The unit significantly enhances the teams ability to provide Advance Life Support and Rescue for the Copperopolis Community.

Ford F450 4X4 Type 1 Ambulance (Large Patient Compartment mounted on a truck chassis. Designed to be very sturdy and able to carry lots of gear). Supplied with inventory for:
- Medical Emergencies (everything an ambulance carries)
- Vehicle Accidents (extrication/stabilization gear)
- Fires (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus/forcible entry tools/thermal imaging camera).

With 84 % of our calls being Emergency Medical Services and Rescue, this is the best vehicle to provide medical care to the community. M232 (Medical Unit 232) is Staffed with a Paramedic & Firefighter able to provide
- Rescue
- Advanced Life Support Intervention
- Life Saving Care

We can care for victims/patients inside the ambulance when no shelter is available until a transport unit arrives.
EST 1936 "For The Protection Of Life And Property"

We can transport patient(s) to a landing zone, an incoming ambulance or a hospital if the incoming transport ambulance has an extended ETA.

Stationed at CFPD station #2 which is located in the center of the Copperopolis population concentration, minimizing response times to the majority of incidents.
