What’s Happening In Murphys This Week – December 5 Through 15, 2016
Murphys, CA...Planning to spend a Saturday shopping in Murphys, try out the new Saturday Hopper bus service running between Valley Springs and Murphys. Thank you to all the volunteers and participants who helped with this year’s Open House and Parade…we couldn’t do it without you. A special thanks to Jenny Baxter who has organized our parade for the last few years and grown it into the big hometown spectacle that it has become. Saturdays in Murphys - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. December 10, 2016 – Guided Hikes in Big Trees State Park - North Grove Guided Tours – Guided walks of
the North Grove are held on Saturday at 1 pm. The walk is 1.5 to 2 hours. Meet in front of the Visitor Center. Bring water and your comfortable shoes. Visit bigtrees.org/ for more information.

Sonora Photography Club in December and January. We will be displaying the art of 15 talented photographers with a variety of styles and subject matters. A reception will be held in their honor on Sunday, December 11th from 4 to 6 p.m. The group has founded in 2005 for photographers of all experience levels to meet and share their expertise and develop skills in all aspects of photography.

(CWA) invites you to join us for Wines of the World - Bubbles with Steve. A popular event that is growing each year! Steve Collum, of Vineyard Concepts, will take you on a tour of the Champagne Region of France. Reservations are required, and seating is extremely limited, no tickets will be sold at the door.
