An Easy Recipe For Your Super Bowl Sunday ~by Jenny Baxter of Jennys Kitchen
Ok all you football fans, I know that on Sunday you will glued to the TV, beer in hand, and an assortment of tailgate food laid before you. This day is otherwise known as “Superbowl Spread!” Similar to Thanksgiving except you watch football instead of playing football, you give thanks for your team making the Superbowl, and you eat and drink all day instead of just eating once until you feel like the stuffed turkey you just ate! So let me contribute an easy recipe for those of you that love that “fire” in your mouth taste as you gnaw on those chicken wings......

Hotter than Hell Wings
3 lbs. chicken wings with tips removed
Buttermilk
Tabasco or a similar hot sauce
1 cup flour
2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
Garlic powder
Salt & pepper
Chili powder
On Saturday night lay your chicken wings in a large bowl. Cover them with buttermilk and then sprinkle on the hot sauce to your taste. Toss until the liquid is mixed. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight. Sunday morning drain the wings. Mix the flour and bread crumbs together in a lunch size bag. Place 2 or 3 wings in the bag and shake to coat. Place the chicken on a parchment lined baking pan. Repeat until all the wings have been coated. Season the wings with the garlic powder, salt, pepper and chili powder. Bake at 375 degrees in a pre-heated oven until the wings are a golden brown about 20-25 minutes. Serves 6.
May the Saints win!!!!!!!
Well, it’s thyme to go.
