Looking Over the President’s Shoulder is a one-man play based on the real-life experiences of Alonzo Fields, Chief Butler in the White House for 21 years. Entertaining and educational, Looking Over the President’s Shoulder will appeal to audience members of all ages.
From his unique insider’s perspective, Fields recalls his service to four American Presidents and their families: Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Directed by Richard Mann, and starring AEA Actor Dwight Mahabir. This play will touch your hearts and leave you feeling charmed.

Winter Sports History Night Honoring Mark Phillips & Ski Racing at Bear Valley is December 16th
Bear Valley, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Historical Association (EPHA) hosts the annual Winter Sports History Night at the Bear Valley Lodge on December 16, 7pm. Mark Phillips will be given the Peter Brinkman Award for outstanding contributions to winter sports in the Ebbetts Pass area. A retrospective of the history of ski racing in the area will be given. From Snowshoe Thompson to the junior race teams to Nastar to star graduates like Kyle Rasmussen, Eric Arvidsson, Holly Beatty, Claude and Nancy Fiddler – both downhill and cross country racing will be honored.
Skyline Bear Valley Mountain Resort will give a presentation on the new chairlift.
Mark Phillips came to Bear Valley in 1975. He taught skiing and coached racers from 1977 to 1983. He was Mt. Reba’s Marketing Director from 1983 to 1987. He helped establish the Nastar citizen racing program. He managed the Bear Valley Lodge. And he was an enthusiastic supporter of EPHA, getting a reputation as our Cecil B. DeMille with his movie productions on our history.
The event in the Cathedral Lounge of the Lodge is free to all.
