Angels Camp, CA...We stopped by the Angels Camp Farmers Market Season Opening Day on Friday Evening. It is great to see the market back in action again for the season. The museum grounds are a wonderful venue with plenty of parking at the church next door. A few photos and a bit of video is below...
Hermit Valley, CA...We know sometimes it's hard when you live in a concrete jungle to connect with nature. So if you are reading this down in the Bay Area or Valley and can't make it up. Here is a few seconds of a high mountain creek whenever you need to clear your mind of what man says is "progress". You're Welcome :). This video was shot of Pacific Creek in the Ebbetts Pass High Country just west of Hermit Valley on June 9th.

The BlowBacks were originally formed by our dear friend, legendary Amador County saxophonist Barry Duncan. You might remember some of us from Blow Daddy, Mr. Pinstripe, and Chains Required!
First Friday Summer Concert Series

Murphys, CA...Starting June 7th, and continuing on July 5th, August 2nd, and September 6th this year, come enjoy live Music in the Park every first Friday this summer, brought to you by the Murphys Community Club. Local bands play music to dance in the summer evening shade in Murphys Community Park, and local restaurants and food trucks will be on hand to make sure everyone is fed. Bring the whole family, cool off next to the creek, and make some great memories!
Angels Camp, CA...Every Friday evening beginning June 7th to October 25th, come to the Angels Camp Museum for the annual Certified Farmers Market. Fresh produce, artisan foods, food trucks, wine & beer bar, local craft booths, kids’ crafts, and live music! Many other vegetables and fruits can become a pickled or fermented product, either canned for a shelf-stable product for year-round enjoyment, or without canning to be enjoyed in the short term. Join UCCE Master Food Preservers of Amador/Calaveras Counties on June 15th as we present a class, “We can pickle that,” from 9am to 12noon at the Calaveras Senior Center, 956 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas. Cost is $5 payable by cash or check made out to UC Regents. Pre-registration is recommended at https://ucanr.edu/june2024-mfpclass Walk-ins are also welcome.
