I thought that was illegal to park there.

An illegal immigrant from Nicaragua was arrested on Monday in Wisconsin's Fond du Lac County in connection with the alleged trafficking and sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl. The man was previously apprehended by Border Patrol in 2021 while crossing illegally and then released into the interior of the US with instruction to follow immigration law.
The victim's mother, who knew the suspect, has also been taken into custody for allegedly providing her daughter to him in exchange for money. Charges were not immediately brought against the mother and suspect in the case.
According to KAKE, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation into the matter, and the pair could face charges of child human trafficking, false imprisonment, sexual assault of a child, failure to protect a child, and other serious offenses.
On Monday, deputies from the sheriff's office were called to a home in Oakfield, a small town about 10 miles southwest of Fond du Lac, after the homeowner called 911 to report that a child had shown up at his door asking for assistance.
When deputies arrived, the child explained that she had escaped from the suspect's vehicle, in which she had been bound and blindfolded. Despite his attempts to keep her there, she had been able to fight him off and seek help at the home.
A short time later, authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Fond du Lac and apprehended the suspect. The victim's mother was also picked up and transported to the Fond du Lac County jail.
The 12-year-old and her siblings were taken into protective custody and are safe.
ABC 12 reported that the illegal immigrant's identity has not been determined. He is in his early 30s from Nicaragua and has multiple aliases. Deputies were able to determine that he was apprehended when he crossed the border from Mexico into Texas illegally in October 2021.
At the time, the suspect was apprehended and then processed at a federal facility to be released into the interior of the US. Upon his release, he was given instructions to follow current immigration policy as set by the Biden administration.

An illegal immigrant with a criminal record who allegedly struck and killed a Washington State Trooper earlier this year while speeding under the influence has had his bail reduced by a local judge.
On Wednesday, Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Richard Okrent reduced Benitez Santana’s bail to $100,000, downfrom the $1 million bail he was being held on for vehicular assault and vehicular homicide involving alcohol or drugs.

And his defense rests their case after calling one whiner saying 'Cohen bad.'
No rebuttal by the defense to the many witnesses and written documents presented by prosecutors.
What a joke.
Basically, no defense was given.
What can a jury do without some tangible reasonable doubt?
Only convict.
Trump's appeal of his conviction will most likely be he didn't have real lawyers, they were tourists.

Yeah right, as long as you have a convicted felon, convicted habitual liar under oath, admitted under oath he stole money from Trump, and then he was livid he didn't get to be the AG under Trump, so now he's lying about all of it and his own ex- lawyer contradicted what Cohen lied about. I'm sure everyone isn't the typical Democrat, that some see thru the corruption of this administration.
Seems you weren't paying attention to anything that went in the defense favor.
Democrats keep failing and everything Biden's DOJ tries, Trump's popularity keeps soaring.

On Sunday, CNN's Fareed Zakaria started to prepare viewers for former President Donald Trump to win the White House in November, admitting that the race has not played out as he thought.
In a clip, Zakaria said, "As someone who worried about the prospects of a second Trump term, I think it's best to be honest about reality." He noted that "Trump is now leading in almost all the swing states" and polls "in general, they have tended to underestimate Donald Trump support, not overestimate."
When looking at cultural issues, Zakaria noted that Trump leads Biden by 35 points on immigration, and he wondered "whether abortion will be as large an issue in a presidential race, given that reversing Roe v Wade threw the issue to state governments and legislatures and not the federal government."
Zakaria went on to discuss the indictments raised against the former president and said they could garner sympathy from voters and admitted that the trials seem to be politically motivated. "I doubt the New York indictment would have been brought against a defendant whose name was not Donald Trump," he said.
"A majority of Americans are skeptical that Trump will be able to get a fair trial according to a CNN poll," Zakaria noted.
In a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll, the former president led in all three of voters' top three issues, which were the economy, inflation, and immigration. He also leads in 10 key issues overall, including the US world standing.
