Arnold, CA...Yesterday marked the return of one of the summer traditions in the Arnold area. The Greater Arnold Pancake Breakfasts are back! The longstanding tradition of the Lions Club has been brought back by the Greater Arnold Business Association to help fund the Arnold Independence Day Parade and other events and business activities along the Ebbetts Pass Corridor. Current Supervisor Martin Huberty & Former Longstanding Supervisor Merita Callaway even worked the serving line to help get the tradition rolling again. Big Boy's BBQ & Catering prepared the food & many others volunteered their time to help out. Even shy and demur Paul Bertini helped with promotional efforts to keep the crowds rolling in.

Murphys, CA...Wolf Jett is in concert this Saturday night May 25th at Brice Station Vineyards just above Murphys. Get your groove on with this awesome band from Santa Cruz. Bring a sweater, blanket, or whatever you need to stay warm in the evening after dark. Brice Station will have a campfire ring and propane heaters for those needing extra warmth.
Arnold, CA...Watch the sunset from the top of Cougar Rock on this intermediate hike led by members of the Arnold Rim Trail Association. Distance is about 4 miles total, with 730 feet of elevation gain. If you haven’t done one of these hikes, you owe it to yourself to join the fun. They are scheduled on weekends near or on the day of the full moon each month, and they are special!

Angels Camp, CA..Bret Harte senior and junior girls will go against each other on the football field, Friday, May 24th at 5:00 for a game of flag football! The girls will be able to design their own football jerseys to rep during the game and keep for memories after. The community and students will be able to get into the game for $3 admission to watch the match up!
