Aero Fire, 33% Contained, 5,351 Acres, Smoke Output Drops Significantly, Hwy 4 Still Closed

Copperopolis, CA...CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit transitioned the fire to CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 3 at 10:30am. Moderate fire behavior was observed by firefighters today with pockets of heat in heavy fuels and embers from trees torching continue to have the potential to impact the fireline.




Typical seasonal weather will remain over the fire area through Thursday. Moderate daytime temperatures in the 80's with decent relative humidity recoveries overnight are expected.

The Damage Inspection Team has been ordered.
