Copperopolis, CA... The Date for the Copperopolis Road Race or the Paris–Roubaix of California is Saturday March 30, 2013. The race will run in the Milton/Salt Spring Valley. Planned Times: 6-8 a.m. Course Set-Up 8 a.m. -1 p.m. Racing events 1 pm to 4 pm, Course Cleanup Course Description: A 21-mile loop of Calaveras County Roads starting and finishing in Milton, CA. The Loop: MIlton Road, Rock Creek Road, Salt Spring Valley Road (straight), Hunt Road, Milton Road. Start in Milton, finish 1/4 east on Hunt Road just east of Landfill driveway...

Angels Camp, CA... We are celebrating 7 years of ownership at Angels Camp RV & Camping Resort with a fun, family festival day Saturday, April 27. We will have games, demonstrations (cooking and chain-saw wood carving), a dog show in our new dog park, live music, craft show, food and much more.

San Andreas, CA....Crews are responding to a head on traffic collision at Hwy 12 and Briski Well in San Andreas. Both Lanes are blocked. More to come as needed. Update: Two air ambulances have been ordered. One air ambulance will be landing at Mark Twain and one air ambulance will be landing at Toyon Middle School. All lanes are blocked. Update 3:40pm: Crews are working on getting one patient that is trapped in a vehicle. Update 3:50pm: We just spoke to CHP dispatch, the Sgt. on scene stated they do not expect any fatalities. Hwy 12 will be closed for some time. ....

IRS Offers Tax Credit Guidance to Businesses Hiring Unemployed Veterans and Certain Youth |

Sacramento, CA.... Businesses planning to claim the newly-expanded work opportunity tax credit (WOTC) for eligible unemployed veterans and unskilled younger workers hired during the first part of 2009 have until Aug. 17 to request the certification required for these workers, according to the Internal Revenue Service. Newly-revised Form 8850, now available on IRS.gov, is used by employers to request certification from their state workforce agency. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, enacted in February, added.....
