The Planning Commissioners and about 15 members of the public attended the 7 p.m. meeting Jan. 17 at the Government Center in San Andreas.
The commissioners unanimously approved both the zoning and tentative large lot parcel map and subdivision tract map for Oak Canyon Ranch project, located on both sides of Little John Road about one mile south of Highway 4 in the Copperopolis area.
The zoning amendment will allow the division of the 3214.9 acre site into 24 large lot parcels and an undevoloped remainder. The tentative subdivision tract map will allow the division of 12 large lot parcels into 670 single family lots, six resort/commercial lots, three public service lots; the approval of this item also allows the road serving Phase One to exceed the 800-foot length requirements.
