High Speed Unlawful Passing Takes Four Lives in Violent Bonds Flat Road Head on Collision
La Grange, CA...On May 31, 2024, at approximately 5:09pm 56-year-old Michael Keith of Stockton was driving his 2020 Chevrolet 1500 pickup northbound on Bonds Flat Road, unlawfully passing another vehicle over the double yellow centerline in excess of 100 miles per hour while approaching the T intersection with La Grange Road. Also in the vehicle were his passengers 66-year-old Donna Yarnal of Modesto and 65-year-old Cindi Schuchterman of Salida. At that same time, 33-year-old Janelle Hall of La Grange was driving her 2005 Toyota Highlander southbound on Bonds Flat Road from La Grange Road at approximately 45 miles per hour.
Due to the extreme speed of Mr. Keith's vehicle, neither of the drivers was able to brake or make an effective evasive maneuver in time. As a result, the front of Mr. Keith's Chevrolet hit the front of Ms. Hall's Toyota within the southbound lane of Bonds Flat Road. Both vehicles came to rest on their wheels with their front end embedded into each other straddling the southbound lane and west shoulder of Bonds Flat Road.
All the occupants in the vehicles succumbed to their injuries at the scene. They were all wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs are a factor in this crash. The incident is still under investigation.

I'm an old man. People just drive more recklessly, and more rudely than they used to. I live in a rural area and when I'm forced for medical reasons to travel to the city, I am absolutely stunned by the way people drive. This guy that just killed three people hopefully will get to his final destination in a bigger hurry. May the others rest in peace.

Absolutely no thoughts and prayers to the loser piece of *bleep* people in the pick up truck this was a million percent avoidable accident he took someone very special away from so many people including her 2 young children . Him and his passengers can rot in hell they MURDERED an amazing person .

R.I.P janelle belle,
You were an amazing momma to your two beautiful babies, and a great friend to literally everyone who knew you, I know your in heaven with God. To the driver of the truck, you killed a kind, gentle soul, you took a mom away from 2 yound kids. A 33 yr old mother, wife, daughter and all around angel. Your selfish act caused this family a lifetime of pain, I don't feel bad for you, you did something unimaginable, you old fossil, you and your passengers got to live a long life but took that right away from someone else. There's a special place in the afterlife for people like you.
