Stop The Bleed - Save A Life! ~ Merita Callaway

Murphys, CA...Hands on Global (HOG) a medical non-profit has gone to Ukraine several times since March 2022. As a HOG volunteer, along with my sister Tama, who served as a nurse in Vietnam, I went to Ukraine on a couple of trips to deliver donated external fixators that reduce amputations and other equipment for orthopedic trauma surgeons. As part of our future trips, we are raising funds for Combat Application Tourniquets (CATs). Tama said these CATs save life and limbs, which would have helped in Vietnam.

As some of you remember, we took Combat Application Tourniquets that you donated. Last trip we delivered 500 tourniquets, a small amount to what is needed. Our goal is to purchase 3000 CATs from a Ukraine company (SICH) for $16 each vs the $24-32 we paid. Buying from SICH will eliminate the transportation costs and provide quicker delivery to the front.

Help save a life or limb. Two ways to donate and support this campaign:

1. Donate directly to Hands on Global (www.handsonglobal.org) specifying “STOP THE BLEED” in special instructions. A receipt is sent to your email.

2. Send a check to Hands on Global with “STOP THE BLEED” in the memo line. Mail to: Hands on Global, 210 Kerr Drive, Helena, Montana 59602. Add your email to receive your tax-deductible receipt.

Any inquires, email: merita9@gmail.com or text 209 210-0344.

Please do what you can.
With gratitude
Merita Callaway
