Appeals Court Halts Trump’s Georgia Case Till 2025

Atlanta, GA...(AP)...An appeals court has halted the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others while it reviews the lower court judge’s ruling allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the case.

The Georgia Court of Appeals’ order on Wednesday prevents Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee from moving forward with pretrial motions as he had planned while the appeal is pending. While it was already unlikely that the case would go to trial before the November general election, when Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee for president, this makes that even more certain.

The appeals court on Monday docketed the appeals filed by Trump and eight others and said that “if oral argument is requested and granted” it is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 4. The court will then have until mid-March to rule, and the losing side will be able to appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court.

A spokesperson for Willis declined to comment on the appeals court ruling.

A Fulton County grand jury in August indicted Trump and 18 others, accusing them of participating in a sprawling scheme to illegally try to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. Four defendants have pleaded guilty after reaching deals with prosecutors, but Trump and the others have pleaded not guilty. It is one of four criminal cases against Trump.

Keep dreaming. The GOP will save this country, your freedoms and the republic even if you slander and slime them.

Go back to your govt cubicle

My freedoms are doing fine, but then I'm a man.

The Republicans recently removed huge personal freedoms from every woman in this country; their right to make major choices about their bodies and their futures.

      Freedom?
Republicans seriously don't give a chit about freedom.

Republicans have limited freedom in several ways:

      1. Restricting voting rights by enacting strict voter ID laws, limiting mail-in and early voting, and making it harder to register to vote. This undermines the fundamental freedom to vote.

      2. Banning or severely restricting abortion access in many Republican-led states after the overturning of Roe v. Wade. This limits women's freedom over their own bodies and reproductive choices.

      3. Passing laws that restrict discussion of LGBTQ+ issues and identities in schools, limiting freedom of speech and expression on these topics.

      4. Proposing laws that would criminalize gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth, limiting their freedom to access vital medical care.

      5. Banning books and limiting what can be taught about America's history of racism, restricting academic freedom and freedom of speech.

      6. Opposing labor unions and workers' rights to collectively bargain, limiting economic freedoms for workers.

So while Republicans claim to be the "party of freedom", their policies and legislative actions in many states have actively limited personal freedoms, voting rights, free speech, and bodily autonomy for various groups.

I hate Trump. I gotta admit though, Fani really screwed this one up. She had him with the goods, he was drop dead guilty. But she had to go and get it on with her buck. He was dead to rights, but Fani got horny. Big mistake. You had him. Fani blew it, and buck too.

It's her fanny that got her in trouble. It's our DOJ that needs some jail time! The democrats are so afraid of losing power they will concoct anything to keep President Trump from even running in the next election. What you should be watching for is election interference and tampering with the ballots. Brandon is not even capable any longer, he needs to back away graciously.
