CAL FIRE Maintains Zero Tolerance for Illegal Fireworks as the Fourth of July Approaches

Sacramento, CA...CAL FIRE is reminding everyone that it is illegal to sell, transport, or use fireworks that do not carry the “Safe and Sane” seal, as well as possess or use fireworks in a community where they are not permitted. If convicted, a violator could be fined up to $50,000, as well as be sent to jail for up to one year.

Over the past few months CAL FIRE - Office of the State Fire Marshal’s specialized Arson and Bomb Investigators have been providing intelligence and support to local and federal illegal fireworks enforcement efforts.

Illegal fireworks include:

Skyrockets
Bottle rockets
Roman candles
Aerial shells
Firecrackers
Sparklers
Other fireworks that explode, go into the air, or move on the ground in an uncontrollable manner.

“Our Arson and Bomb Investigators have been busy assisting with numerous illegal fireworks enforcement operations and as a result, along with our local fire and law enforcement partners, have successfully seized over 122,000 pounds of illegal fireworks from all over California since July 2023,” said State Fire Marshal Daniel Berlant. “We have a zero tolerance toward the use, transportation, and possession of illegal fireworks. Even ‘Safe and Sane’ fireworks are banned in many communities and bring large fines for their illegal use.”

“Vegetation and especially grasses at lower elevations are dry across the state and we are already seeing a more intense fire season as a result,” said Chief Joe Tyler, CAL FIRE Director and Fire Chief. “As the conditions dry and warm in the coming weeks, these sources of fuel for wildfires will become more susceptible to burning. Fire conditions are elevated, and the 4th of July, along with the use of fireworks, only increases the risk for wildfires.”

As we gather to celebrate the Fourth of July, make sure your festivities are both enjoyable and safe. Check your local laws and ordinances to find out if fireworks are illegal where you live, or if certain “Safe and Sane” fireworks are permitted. In certain areas of California, all fireworks are illegal.

Prevent fires and injuries caused by fireworks this Fourth of July. Since 2013, in the State of California, there has been over 22,000 acres burned with fireworks being the ignition source 62 million dollars in property and content loss.

Seems too bad that Calaveras County has not followed Tuolumne and Stanislaus to demand zero tolerance.!
Apparently the leaders of Angels Camp followed the zero tolerance rule of our neighboring counties.
Safe and Sane is bull pucky

No thanks, we're good here in Calaveras County.
The only thing that's 'too bad' is you're a resident here.

Great fundraiser, but not very good for the fires that pop up around this time of year.
Common sense for people that buy fireworks, and set them off around here doesn't go hand in hand.
Unsupervised juveniles and ignorant adults should be punished for setting fireworks related fires.

No Celebrating Biden trouncing Trump in the Debate? 🎇🧨
Posted on: 2024-07-03 13:36:51   By: Anonymous

That's too bad because I'm celebrating President Biden's victory in the debate, and that his family is telling Joe only losers quit. Don't give up the ship Joe, even if they threaten to oust you by the 25th Amendment, we still will be in great hands with Kamala Harris........🤣AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I'm sorry I was trying to be serious but it's just impossible. Every...single... Republican voter knew Joe was senile AND an idiot but the left? Dumber then a frickin rock. I mean good God what a bunch of low IQ Losers they are to be so easily manipulated by the corrupted left Media and a guy who can't even take questions by that same media that have to give their questions before hand. To top it off Joe's said at least a dozen times, live on air, that They won't let me take questions and or, I'll get in trouble.
How pathetically stupid of the biggest idiots in America that they could be so stupid.

BIDEN Administration says Ukraine is too corrupt to join Nato
Posted on: 2024-07-03 13:51:34   By: Anonymous

The US will reportedly tell Ukraine it's too corrupt to join the NATO alliance at its annual summit in Washington, DC next week, according to a senior official in the US State Department. NATO will be requiring "additional steps" from Volodymyr Zelensky before his country's membership will be considered.

We already knew about that when VP Biden told Ukraine to FIRE the Special Prosecutor looking at Hunter and the energy company Burisma, if he wasn't fired Biden said you wouldn't receive One Billion Dollars in American Tax Payer money.

And the lowest IQ Americans the Dumbocrats still don't believe it even though Diaper Joe was joking about it with the news cameras rolling
(now that's stupidity)

Tell me how this “ thing” works. We have a permanent 12 mo a yr CDF fire guy living across from Michelson, doesn’t do a damn thing in the winter, then once, something can burn is home all week after the shindig in Copper, meaning the Aero Fire.
He does nothing in the winter, gets paid full salary, works a couple days in the summer, and he and his government ( tax payer) truck stays home after be in gone for a couple days. I was told this person was recently given a promotion, promotion to what? This is Bull s hit! This person does it right out in front of the public, doesn’t bother him at all, and on and on it goes!
Someone in our measly state government needs to an audit on these tax payer, welfare suckers. There is no accountability at ant level, what the fuk!

As for fireworks, you will never ban it, it is too easy to get long haul truckers to stop in Wyoming and buy a s hit load come back to Calabama, and there you have it folks! Stay home and nurse your pets, don’t expect to go out leaving Fido, or sissy unattended with fireworks going off, then you come home buzzed from drinking “Ripple” oe Buckhorn beer, and wonder why the animals jumped through the sliding glass door, then on Nextdoor for a month following all we see are “have you seen my cat or my dog”?How about your kid that has bought fireworks and goes off unattended and starts a fire! Have a great 4th!

Don't worry Fire Nanny, your doughnut runs and time on the Game Boy won't be interrupted by any actual fires this weekend.
Chill.... whiner.
