07/01/2024 - The Calaveras Community Band July 1st Concert Still On! Heat Cancels July 4th
Murphys, CA...Unfortunately, the Calaveras Community Band is canceling its Thursday, July 4th concert at the Angels Camp Museum because of the heat. However, tonight's (July 1) concert in Murphys Community Park is still on. The music starts at 6:00 p.m.! The Band will be playing patriotic favorites.

Valley Springs, CA...Always the last Saturday in June at dusk @ New Hogan Lake near Valley Springs, CA, Fireworks over New Hogan Lake makes Independence Day celebrations even more magical. Here, you’ll gather on the shore or on a boat to enjoy beautiful fireworks overhead reflected in the lake.

Mokelumne Hill, CA...The Moke Hill Lions Club is hosting the July 4th Main Street Parade and Events in Mokelumne Hill on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Main Street will be closed to traffic from 7:00 AM To 7:00 PM. The Parade will begin at 11:00 AM and will conclude by 12:00 PM.

Angels Camp, CA...If you’re looking for a great wine event plus a chance to help support women and girls in Calaveras County, check out the Wine & Whimsy event sponsored by Soroptimist International of Calaveras County coming up on June 22nd. The event will take place from 5:30pm to 9:30pm at Lakeside Wedding & Event Center in Angels Camp.

Tickets are on sale for $50 per person and proceeds will benefit SICC’s many programs including continuing education grants for single mothers, community service awards, Miss Calaveras/Rodeo Queen awards, the annual Frog Jump Youth Parade, a free cholesterol screening program, and much more!
