Calaveras Showcased in the Big Apple.
New York, NY...The California Travel and Tourism Commission (CTTC) held it’s annual New York Media Reception last week. The event offers key New York media one stop shopping for learning more about California destinations and events. The partnership nature of the event provides an opportunity for California destinations to affordably promote their area....
Lisa Reynolds, Executive Director of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau, took part in the event for the second time. “It’s an amazing opportunity to show off Calaveras County to a group of travel writers and television producers all in one spot. I spoke with writers from the Rachael Ray Show, Frommer’s, Fodor’s, Travel+Leisure just to name a few. Making those contacts in person is priceless.” At the Calaveras table media were given vials of gold with the CVB’s website on them and gold frog pins. A total of 114 media attended the event.
Chefs from California demonstrated California creations while guests tasted California wine and cheese. Earlier in the day the CTTC kicked off their new promotional campaign “The Land of Wine and Food”. The Calaveras Visitors Bureau will be playing a big part in this new campaign promoting the many opportunities for food and wine right here in Calaveras County.
