She has obviously been well taken care of. Her coat is shiny, she is happy and well fed. But here she sits at the county shelter. We administered the Labradog test and Truffle passed with flying colors. In fact she is a 10 on the Labradog scale of Labness. She LOVES to play ball. Truffle anxiously awaits you throwing the ball. She gets a bit of slobber on her nose and looks at you with her intense eyes and says, "Throw the ball, throw the ball, .......

Unemployment Drops to 9.7%

Washington, DC...The unemployment rate fell from 10.0 to 9.7 percent in January, and nonfarm payroll employment was essentially unchanged (-20,000), the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment fell in construction and in transportation and warehousing, while temporary help services and retail trade added jobs. Calaveras American Little League is looking for a few good men and women to umpire little league games for players age 9-14 for the 2010 season. Mandatory training will be provided on Friday 2/26 6-9 PM and Sat-Sun Feb 27-28 9-5 each day (lunch provided). Cal American’s regular season begins April 5 and runs through June 15, with Allstars June 26 through July 15 (if selected to umpire in the Allstar tournament). Bear Valley, CA...This afternoon we shot a Pre-Schmuck report, IE...before the storm really rolled in. A Pacific Storm will affect the region through Friday. This will be followed by a second storm late Friday night into Saturday. Snow levels will generally range from around 3500 feet north of Redding to around 5000 feet in the Sierra Nevada. Snow levels may be a little lower with the second storm. Snow accumulations up to 2 feet are possible across the higher elevations of the northern Sierra Nevada into Saturday.....
