America is not Republican or Democrat it is a Shared Belief in Ideals. Federalist Paper Number Four by Publius. Introduction by John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/12/2022 05:54 PM
Arnold, CA...With many of us concerned about our country we thought it might be a great time to look back at the inalienable rights and more that have been the bedrock of our country for almost 250 years. The Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that we all at times take for granted was hard fought and narrowly won. In the end our allegiance is not to a King, Dictator or Strong Man but too each other. One thing the founding fathers all agreed on was that human nature is subject to weakness and they took into account human frailties. They devised a system that has at many times protected us from our worst enemy which is the reflection that stares back at us all from the mirror.

Sender’s Market Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through August 16th! Shop Local & Save!

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/11/2022 07:27 AM
Mountain Ranch, CA…In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we’re still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you’ve got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered. Click on images below for larger versions.

A Bit of Wisdom from Herbert Hoover

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/10/2022 03:12 PM
“There are some principles that cannot be compromised. Either we shall have a society based upon ordered liberty and the initiative of the individual, or we shall have a planned society that means dictation no matter what you call it or who does it. There is no half-way ground. They cannot be mixed.” ~ Herbert Hoover August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964

“Of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the one named War has gone - at least for a while. But Famine, Pestilence and Death are still charging over the earth. Hunger is a silent visitor who comes like a shadow. He sits besides every anxious mother three times each day. He brings not alone suffering and sorrow, but fear and terror. He carriers disorder and the paralysis of government, and even its downfall. He is more destructive than armies, not only in human life but in morals. All of the values of right living melt before his invasions, and every gain of civilisation crumbles.” ~ Herbert Hoover August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964

“Older men declare war. But it is youth that must fight and die.” ~ Herbert Hoover August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964

“Children are our greatest natural resource.” ~ Herbert Hoover August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964

“Words without actions are the assassins of idealism.” ~ Herbert Hoover August 10, 1874 – October 20, 1964
