Attorney General Bonta, Governor Newsom, and CARB Lead Multistate Coalition to Defend U.S. EPA’s Final Rule for Light-Duty Vehicle Emission Standards

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/23/2024 08:21 AM
Oakland, CA...On behalf of California and leading a multistate coalition of 23 attorneys general and four cities, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Governor Gavin Newsom, and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) filed a motion to intervene in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to help defend the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s final rule for light- and medium-duty vehicles emissions standards for model years 2027-2032 (Final Rule). The Final Rule sets stricter tailpipe emissions standards for light- and medium-duty vehicles for harmful air pollutants, including greenhouse gases (GHG), nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. Currently, the rule is being challenged by 25 Republican-led states seeking to curb the agency’s efforts to reduce emissions from the transportation sector.

Sender’s Market Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through April 23rd! Shop Local & Save!!

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/21/2024 11:08 AM
Mountain Ranch, CA…In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we’re still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you’ve got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered. Click on images below for larger versions
