Jerry, Gavin, Nancy and the rest of the happy Cali Dems are sliding so far left they're going to fall off Marx's lap.

Well you are consistent. To the point of being close minded, uninformed, rigid in a losing ideology, so many regressive characteristics.

You do know don't you that all living things, including people and societies must progress and adapt to changing circumstances. Failure to progress and adapt leads to being taken over by others that do so..

For Commifornia to move any further left it'll have to break off from the mainland and float to China.
    In my dreams.

Neither answer is correct.

The CA public is not going to move to the right, certainly not toward the lunacy of the current Republican party. The party of Nunes has no support and deserves none.

On the other hand, Sacramento Democrats are further left than the public at large, even in Democratic districts. Sacramento Dems really are the party of big government and big spending. Over the past 8 years Jerry Brown has kept their spending under control. He's actually pretty fiscally conservative despite the way the right wing characterizes him. We do, for example, have a big rainy day fund and you can thank Jerry for that. The big risk is who will show that fiscal discipline once Jerry terms out.

BTW, the Republicans only claim to be fiscally conservative. Cutting taxes is the same thing as spending; both run up deficits.

Don't forget about the billions in unfunded liabilities (pensions) and record breaking tax revenues. All over the board. What a whack job governor. Even worse are the mindless double-talk liberals that voted for him.

Pensions for state and county workers need to END. It is simply unaffordable, as US businesses realized a generation ago. It's a complete scam.

The problem is that the people negotiating pensions get pensions themselves, so they have zero motivation to end the practice. Maybe a ballot initiative, but it would be tough to pass given the power of teacher, municipal and other unions.

This left and right stuff is divisive and just an old way of thought. Now days, it's sanity and "Orange supreme leader bat shat crazy fan club." California, has to belong in the first group.

The facts speek the truth

Unfortunately, the wealthy and businesses are leaving the Golden State. However, you can rest at night knowing that we have a flood of illegals flooding the state to take their place.

A whole lot of the not so wealthy are getting out too. The Left are handing the state back to Mexico on a silver platter.

I'm sorry for my wording. I meant "wealthy" as those of us paying the taxes in this state. I'm a third generation Californian and am saddened to see what is becoming of the state. I'm packing up and heading to Idaho!

I am also in the process of moving to Idaho, never even thought before to do such a thing until the last 2 years. This place no longer feels like the USA.

If you've enjoyed the intellectualism and highly educated population of Calaveras County, then Idaho will make you feel right at home.

BTW, there are surely more taxes paid by liberals in CA than by conservatives. You can thank us for the roads leading out of the state on your way to Idaho.

        You're welcome.
