He can't be ignored because of the potential threat posed. Just like an unruly child they need to have boundaries ENFORCED or they will not behave. It is an opportunity for the U.S. to strengthen relationships with Russia, China and Japan to keep this nutcase in check.

I agree with this approach, but everyone should understand that this guy is far more dangerous than a child. He can't yet hurt the continental US but he can really damage S. Korea and Japan.

A huge part of the problem is that Kim Jong-un is even more delusional than Trump. He may actually believe he has military superiority or that he is personally invincible. So I don't think we can assume any level of rational behavior from N. Korea. Trump is uninformed and delusional (and often sucked in by fake news) but he has Mattis and McMaster to educate him and put some limits on his delusions. I don't think Kim Jong-un has anyone to restrain him.

You liberals can't wait to change the argument! To call our President delusional implies that you are symptomatic of that child talked about in the earlier post. Try taking the plank out of your own eye before talking about the speck in someone else's. Thank God we don't have Obama, John Kerry or Hillary to deal with any of these trials!

Trump delusions (that we know about):

His inauguration crowd was larger than Obama's.
He won the election by a landslide (largest landslide since Reagan).
Obama had his wires tapped at Trump Towers.
His cabinet has the highest IQ ever (consider Rick Perry is in it along with Betsy DeVos, who was revealed to know nothing about education policy).
            NATO is obsolete (recently reversed)
NATO is not fighting terrorism (surely a shock to those fighting with us in middle east).
Russian interference with our election is FAKE NEWS (not the FBI's view and several contacts documented)
He has an armada steaming to Korean waters (said when it was moving in the opposite direction).
His presidency is not in chaos.

These are just recent/current examples. But let's not forget about Obama was not born in the US or Obama and Hillary were literally founders of ISIS.

The evidence that Trump is delusional is overwhelming. And that is true whether you believe it or not. Your disbelief (if that is the case) simply shows that you are also delusional.

If a President Hillary Clinton had done even one of the things on that list, the Republicans would be screaming all day and preparing to impeach her.

I'd accuse the conservatives of having a double standard with respect to Trump but, in fact, they have no standard at all for him.

Why, when someone disagrees with a position, are they either immediately labeled a liberal (in this case) or a right-wing fanatic?

Must a discussion also get down to labeling people?

We all do know Trump is not well-ground in international politics and tends to act before he thinks. He also changes his position frequently, depending on who's bending his ear at any given point in time. One does not have to be liberal or conservative to recognize these aspects of this administration.

More to the point, can we trust that Trump is not lying. After all, he lied about where the aircraft carrier battle group was going.

It's very hard to figure out what is real when Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump are both facile and frequent liars.

I love what Trump is doing. We would not be in the situations we are in now had Obama done something other than just pay these tyrants off and kick the can down the road. I do not want a war but it is high time the people of the US come together. All of the complaining and finger pointing does not solve problems. It makes OUR COUNTRY look weak and divided.
