We would like to thank Joan Irish of Irish Family Vineyards for sharing this wonderful Holiday recipe...."Mulled Wine"....Spicy Holiday Wine or Cider 4 cups full-bodied red wine (or apple cider) 1/2 cup brandy (optional if using cider) 2 Tbsp. brown sugar 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 cup orange juice 4 whole cloves 8 whole black peppercorns 5 whole cinnamon sticks. In a large saucepan combine all ingredients except wine and bring to a boil. Cook about 10 minutes to reduce the amount by half. Reduce heat and add the wine (if using wine recipe). Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain, garnish with a fresh cinnamon stick, and serve hot.

An entry to CULINARY CLUCK includes a recipe, a Twisted Oak suggested wine pairing, and a picture of the finished product. Your recipe must either 1. be a recipe that contains (real) chicken; or, 2. be a recipe that looks like a (rubber) chicken when prepared. 3.
