"Blue Grass Worship" Coming To First Congregation Church On Sunday
Posted by: thepinetree on 01/26/2016 01:27 PM
Murphys, Ca -- Old-time gospel music, including bluegrass and traditional church hymns, will be the basis for a worship service at Murphys' oldest protestant church, Sunday January 31. The "Blue Grass Worship" starts at 10 a.m., and will be performed by eight Mother Lode musicians playing fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitars, autoharp, bass and piano. Some of the music is from the 1800s to include gospel tunes by William Bradbury and Fanny Crosby, some from the early 1900s such as "Keep on the Sunny Side" made popular by the Carter Family, and more modern pieces such as "I Hear Them All" recorded by the Old Crow Medicine Show.

Nazareth Is Bringing "Laughter For All" To Refuge On Saturday Night

Angels Camp, CA...Laughter For All is coming to Angels' on Saturday, August 15th at 7:30 PM. Free Dinner at 6:00 PM; Free Clothes and School Supplies (While supplies last). Comedy has the power to quickly shift one’s mood of bleakness to that of cheer and liveliness. Despite one’s race, religion, ethnicity, and social class; it has the capability of uniting people from different backgrounds together, serving as a common denominator to all. It is one thing to be a comedian who can conceive an uproar of laughter in a crowd. However, to be a comedian who can inspire a crowd at the same time is a rare find. Nazareth has been using his talents of bringing comic relief to his audience while directing his acts to help improve their well-being.
