Angels Camp, CA...With Fathers Day just a couple of weeks ago, I thought it appropriate to take time and reflect on fathers. Having grown up in a broken home, I understand the importance of the father’s roll in the family and having five children makes me understand how hard it is to be a father in the times we are living. As we look at our society and read the statistics on fathers it becomes evident that there is a problem with many fathers today. I believe that it is time for us who are fathers, to become redeemed fathers...

"Free Summer Events for Teens" are presented by Harmony Life House in Murphys. Free guitar lessons for teens of all skill levels, beginner to advanced, will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every first and third Friday of the month. Also featured are free movies twice a month starting June 12 with "A Night at The Museum," followed by "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" (June 26), "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" (July 10), "Wall-E" (July 24) and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (Aug 14)....

There are no financial guidelines. You don’t need to make a reservation. We just want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to have a good hot meal … with dessert!"
