Shuttle service to the fair from Angels Camp locations and back will be available at convenient times on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. New this year on Saturday is an Express Fair Shuttle with stops at La Contenta Plaza, Umpqua Bank in Valley Springs, and the Government Center in San Andreas. Express buses will run six times going to the fair and six times coming back. The detailed shuttle schedule is posted on the Calaveras Transit website: www.calaverastransit.com.

Angels Camp, CA...Come join the Union Congregational Church in Angels Camp on Tuesday, May 5 for a community Cinco de Mayo celebration. Enjoy a taco and enchilada dinner, live music and good fellowship. The buffet will be open from 6 -8 p.m. with sangria and beer available. $10 for adults, $5 for children. Church parking can be accessed uphill on Raspberry, then left on Church Street.

Jerrod Wagner Took 1st place individually, Jeremiah Farwell took 5th place individually Megan Yoder & Kari Farwell made up the rest of the team. Now it is on to the nationals. Angels Camp, CA...Angels Camp resident Paul G. Sherrow passed away at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was 75 years old. Mr. Sherrow was born in French Camp, CA to James and Betha Sherrow. He lived in Calaveras County for 67 years. He lived in Angels Camp for the past 45 years. Paul worked for the Calaveras Cement Plant as a mechanic welder for 23 years until the plant closed. He then worked at Bret Harte High School and retired after 21 years....
