Student Arrested For Hitting Teacher At Bret Harte

Angels Camp, CA...On November 10, 2014 at approximately 12:55 pm the Angels Camp Police Department received a report of a battery on a school employee at Bret Harte High School. Upon investigation it was determined that a 15 year old student hit a teacher with his fist causing injury to the teacher’s head.

Murphys, CA...Yesterday the Ebbetts Pass Veteran's Memorial Distirct invited the community to Honor, Salute & Pay Tribute to all of the United States Military Veterans. The Veteran's Memorial Park was filled to overflowing with attendees, former service members, the Calaveas Community Band and more. One highlight for the second year in a row was students from Jennifer Berry's Michelson Elementary's class reading essays on the different branches of the service. San Andreas, CA...Every year Mark Twain Medical Center opens it's doors to the area's future Doctors and Nursers for a Teddy Bear Picnic. This year 475 kindergarteners from across the county visited the Medical Center in late October. In addition to Doctors, Nurses and staff at MTMC they invite paramedics, fire fighters and others involved emergency as well as normal healthcare. On the day we stopped by the CHP Helicopter was on hand to provide information on their operations which include at times air medical transport. CHP Pilot Jim Hendrix did a great job fielding questions from his young audience. We have a few photos of the event below and a short video of the CHP Helicopter coming in to land....
