Urgent Quincy The Cat Is Lost...Please Help Reunite With Owners!

Hathaway Pines, CA...This cat was lost around 5 pm 1/3/15 at the heliport off Hwy 4, near Red Apple Ranch, Hathaway Pines. He taken out of a car due to an emergency in the car and while being held, panicked and bolted into the woods. The owners looked for over an hour. They live out of town so I am the local contact. He is very large – 18 lb. and tall and friendly. PLEASE, if you find him, contain him in a box, a room, a car - ANYTHING !!!! and call me immediately. I will come get him. He has a microchip also....

Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49. Chip will be there, as well as other kitties who would love to meet you! Chip qualifies for our "BLACK TIE New Year's Special" reduced adoption fee. We will also have kitties available to meet you at our Arnold Adoption Center, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market. Both adoption centers will be CLOSED ON NEW YEAR'S DAY, but will be open Friday & Saturday. We hope to see you!

John was born December 9, 1928 in Santa Clara, CA He was an Employee of Southern Pacific Railroad for 42 years in the Maintenance of Way Department. He was a member of the Angels Gun Club for 21 years...

Mexican Nationals Arrested On Weapons & Drug Charges

Angels Camp, CA...On 12-26-14, at approximately 12:15 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department made a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle for inoperative brake lights. The driver of the vehicle identified himself with a Mexico identification, and around this time the officer observed a firearm in plain sight inside the vehicle. The four occupants of the vehicle were detained and the vehicle was searched, and total of three (3) loaded firearms were located inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the occupants revealed that one of them was in possession of methamphetamine. During the booking process another occupant of the vehicle was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine....

Man Threatening To Kill Police Arrested In Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA...On December 29, 2014 at approximately 7:00 PM, Angels Camp Police Officers were dispatched to the Save Mart parking lot as a result of multiple calls from a male caller stating he was going to kill any police officers that arrived in the Save Mart parking lot. The caller identified himself as 22 year old Sonora resident, Logan Downey. Downey advised he was in the rear parking lot of the store and in possession of a 9mm Glock handgun....

New Melones Fishing Report/Giant Bass/Trout Derby ~By Glory Hole Sports

Murphys, CA...Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 545,759 acre-feet of water. The lake level came up two feet this last week. It is currently at 867 ft. above sea level and 209 ft. from full. The water clarity is clear in most of the lake with a few areas being a little stained. The water temperature continues to cool with the average being 53-56 degrees. Tuttletown launch is closed. Glory Hole Point boat launch is open with a two lane concrete ramp and a dock. 4wd is no longer needed to launch.

At higher elevations...scattered snow showers late in the morning...then isolated snow showers in the afternoon. Windy. Highs 17 to 32 higher elevations...30 to 40 lower elevations. Prevailing northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 50 mph...except northeast 30 to 45 mph with gusts to around 65 mph over ridges. Tonight Mostly clear. At higher elevations...a slight chance of snow showers in the evening. Windy...colder. Lows 2 to 17 higher elevations...15 to 25 lower elevations. Prevailing northeast winds 15 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 55 mph in the evening. Over ridges...prevailing northeast winds 30 to 50 mph decreasing to 20 to 30 mph after midnight...
