The Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) has secured a $250,000 grant from the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) to help five rural Sierra counties improve high speed Internet access for all households and businesses. The one-year project, called ATCAA Central Sierra Connect, will launch with the first meeting of the project Advisory Council in the morning and a community forum at Ironstone Vineyards June 12 from 1-4 pm. The community is invited to come to learn about the project and how they can get involved in the one-year work plan......

Frogtown, CA...We stopped by the Sober Grad Night preparations at Frogtown on Friday as they were getting ready for the Class of 2008. They had the USS Bret Harte almost ready to sail. The hard working parents & volunteers had assembled an entire cruise ship for the kids to enjoy. They could make a stop at 9 ports in all. The purpose of Sober Grad Night is to keep the teenagers in a safe and chemical free environment, while giving them a fun graduation party at the same time. There have been no deaths or seniors injured in a vehicle accident on graduation night, since this has started....
