San Andreas, CA...The agenda for today's board meeting is enclosed and following is the notice that the budget meeting for the the 2013/2014 budget are upon us. COUNTY OF CALAVERAS FY 2013/14 RECOMMENDED BUDGET HEARINGS, TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will hold Recommended Budget Hearings commencing on June 11, 2013 through June 14, 2013, or until completion. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 – (following regular Board meeting, if time permits) Board Chambers, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249 Items not heard on Tuesday, June 11th, will be continued as follows, until completed: Wednesday through Friday beginning at 9:00 AM. June 12, 13 & 14, 2013 as necessary. CalWorks Sequoia Room, 509 E. St. Charles Street San Andreas, CA 95249. These hearings are open to any member of the general public wishing to be heard regarding any item of the budget or for the inclusion of additional items. Budget documents will be available through the County Administrative Office.

Frogtown, CA...In another great display of community support and work ethic of our youth. The 2013 Calaveras County Fair Livestock Auction raised over 300k. We finally have over two hours of video from the event and photos as well. Great job and congratulations everyone!!!

Angels Camp, CA...Last year’s growth of the Farmer’s Market was very exciting and this year is shaping up to be even better, with new farms, delicious new food vendors, exciting entertainment, and a new market manager, Andrea Modrell. Andrea was born and raised in Angels Camp and will be bringing a fresh new approach to the market this year. The Angels Camp Certified Farmer’s Market starts June 7th and will go through September. For four months, visitors to the market will be able to enjoy Friday evenings in the park and fresh, locally grown produce and specialty foods. The Farmer’s Market will be held every Friday starting at 5pm and ending at dusk in Utica Park...

Murphys, CA...Zucca Mountain Vineyards tasting room and wine club manager receives her Wine Business MBA from Sonoma State University. Jody Jurgens, a 2006 graduate of Bret Harte High School, continued her education at Sonoma State University studying Wine Business Strategies and Marketing. Owners Carol and Gary Zucca generously offered Jody an internship in the summer of 2009, a requirement for her to receive her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2011.
