Fishing Report/Highway 4 Corridor for September 19th~From Bill Reynolds

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/20/2007 04:46 PM
The North Fork of the Stanislaus has been producing some nice Brown Trout as of late due to the cooling temperature. One of our customers, Ray caught a beautiful Brown, 4lb 6oz. on Sunday the 16th on a Rapala. Lure casters try Rapalas, and Panther Martin spinners. Bait casters should try split-shotting inflated nightcrawlers, salmon eggs, crickets, Gulp Eggs, and Gulp Nightcrawlers. Fly fishermen have had success using hoppers, nymphs, mayflies, stimulators, adams, caddis, humpy's, and woolly buggers....

Hi Tech Comes To Calaveras County!

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/15/2007 12:05 AM
It has been done! Tonight was the first time, that we know of, where a "live" streamed Football Game was pushed remotely directly to Cable, here in Calaveras County. We believe this is also the first time that a Bret Harte Football game has been televised "live" on Cable. John Hamilton along with Ed Lark, Manager of Community Cable, Kelly Wright, Mike Woicicki, Jay Jones, Joe Aquilina, Lucinda Brower and others worked very hard to make this happen tonight at Bret Harte Stadium. You were able to view tonight's game "live" on our site and also on Comcast Channel 7 and Volcano Vision Channel 21. We will have the replay available later. One of our awesome helpers tonight, sent us these pictures of the guys working hard to provide this service to our community....
