Sonora, CA....Last night there was a 32 mile chase with the Sonora Police Department, Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept and CHP participating. The end result was a 31 one year old man arrested on drug and other charges. The CHP release is enclosed....
Sonora, CA.... 12 May 2013, at approx. 12:05 am, Officers were inside the Police Department when they heard a loud crash. When they looked outside, they noticed that a 1995 Ford truck had struck the south/east corner of the department, damaging the recently remodeled structure.

We hope that remains the case as with the amount of national media on hand it had the opportunity to be very uncomfortable, very quickly) The parents of Leila Fowler have requested to make a prepared statement to the media and to the residents of Calaveras County. Valley Springs, Ca... A Press conference was held in Valley Springs at 7:15 pm today. This article has been updated to include full text of Calaveras County Sheriff's comments made this evening. (Valley Springs, CA) Calaveras County Sheriff Gary Kuntz made the below statement tonight during a 7:30 p.m. press conference concerning this investigation. “Today Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested the murderer of eight year old Leila Fowler. At 5:10 p.m. detectives arrested Leila’s 12 year old brother at the Sheriff’s Office’s Valley Springs Substation on the charge of homicide.
Copperopolis, CA... At 7:50 p.m. a report of a Toyota SUV rollover on O'Byrnes Ferry Rd. just off Hwy 4 caused emergency crews to respond to a minor injury accident- Update: At 8:04 the tow truck was called - no mention of injuries. Please be careful in the area.
Investigators Continue to Make Progress on Fowler Case

Valley Springs, CA...The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office continues to make daily progress in its investigation, getting closer to bringing closure to this incident for the Fowler family. They have however paused their 1:30pm briefings until there is a major development that they can release to the public. The Sheriff’s Office continues to ask the public to call the tip line at 1-866-389-7638 (toll free) if they should have information to aid us in the investigation.

Angels Camp, CA...On 05/02/2013 at approximately 8:25 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department attempted to stop a blue 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle in the area of Murphys Grade Road and Gardner Lane near Bret Harte High School. The motorcycle was traveling at approximately 45 mph in a posted 25 mph zone, and matched the description of a previously reported reckless driver....
