Driving Under The Influence Checkpoint Scheduled for This Saturday

On Saturday September 8th, 2007, the CHP in conjunction with the Angels Camp Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint. The purpose of this checkpoint is to target those drivers that are driving under the influence alcohol or drugs(DUI). The sobriety checkpoint will be staffed by officers of the California Highway Patrol and the Angels Camp Police Department that are trained in the detection of alcohol/and or drug impaired drivers. Cow in the Road Causes Moderate Injury Motorcycle Accident

Milton, CA... Early yesterday morning a Valley Springs resident was riding his 2003 Harley on Milton Rd. When he came around a slight bend in the road a cow was crossing the road in front of him. Fire Report is In For Structure Fire in Mountain Ranch

Mountain Ranch, CA...The official CAL Fire report is in for the structure fire that occurred on Wednesday, August 29th at 10015 Ham Luddy Lane in Mountain Ranch. One firefighter received minor injuries when celing debris fell. He was treated and released. Cause of the fire is under investigation. The total damges are $150,000 for the strcture, $40,000 in contents and 1/2 acre oak woodland. Red Cross was notified for the two adults that were displaced. The full fire report is enclosed...

San Andreas, CA...We just received a call from the Sheriff's Office...The recent lightning activity has taken down the Sheriff's Departments Business Lines. 911 Calls Still being handled as normal but if you are calling for non-emengency issues, your calls may go unanswered until the situation returns to normal.

Murphys, CA... A Southern California resident was driving too fast to maintain control of his 2007 Hwy on Utica Grade last night. He lost control and overturned. Daniel Rocha Found Guilty on All Counts

San Andreas, CA...After a short deliberation, the jury found Daniel Rocha Guilty on all counts including First Degree Murder,Gang and Weapons charges. Daniel Rocha is responsible for the March 2005 shooting death of David Jessup, 19, of Mokelumne Hill.
