CHP is reporting a non-injury collision that is blocking the lane at SR26 just East of Mokelumne Hill. Apparently a log fell of a truck and hit a vehicle.

FIRE NEWS...10 acre Vegetation Fire Quickly Contained |

Angels Camp, CA...There was a small vegetation fire earlier today that was quickly contained at 10 acres. The fire was a few miles West of Angels Camp. Fire Crews are still working it, but it has been fully contained for awhile.

We just received the official CAL Fire report for .1 acre vegetation fire that occurred on Friday September 14th at 343 block in Copperopolis. Apparently it was started mechanically from a vehicle passing through on the roadway. No injuries reported. Full report is enclosed...

Valley Springs, CA The CAL-FIRE release has been sent out from Lisa Williams in San Andreas. Acreage estimates held at 104 acres with no structure damage. There were quite a few resources thrown at it to get it under control quickly. Nice work again everyone!! The report is enclosed...

Minor Injury Head On Collision Tonight on Murphys Grade Road |

While driving home from Bret Harte tonight, we came across another Motor Vehicle Accident on Murphys Grade Road and French Gulch Road.. After speaking to Law Enforcement, we learned that it was a head-on collision that occurred at around 11pm tonight. We also learned that the injured party refused treatment. We will keep you posted if needed.

Sonora, CA...The Forest Service today announced that Stanislaus National Forest (NF) recreation specialists are seeking public comment by October 8, 2007 on the Forest’s Recreation Facility Analysis (RFA). The analysis is a Forest-wide planning effort focused on operation and maintenance of the Stanislaus NF’s 89 developed recreation sites, including campgrounds, picnic areas, boat launches, day use areas, major trailheads, and overlooks. The RFA is available for public review on-line, and at the Forest Supervisors’ Office....
