West Point, CA...Our 44th Annual Lumberjack Day includes a family fun filled day of adventure starting with soap box derby races at 8:30 am, Best parade in the Mother Lode starts at 11:00 am numerous events throughout the day include, Car show, Logging show, Ax throwing competition, Horseshoe tournament, Childrens play area with face painters and a free petting zoo.

Murphys, CA...Stomp competition, costume contests, and street fair brings thousands of people to historic Downtown Murphys for a day of fun and entertainment for all the first Saturday in October! Crowds of over 5,000 people from near and far flood the little town of Murphys, to celebrate the beginning of the wine harvest season. Murphys puts on a lively stomp competition. This exciting all-day event happens on the first Saturday in October every year, and includes the Gold Rush Street Fair lining Main Street with over 100 outside vendors. Now in its 25th year, the annual community Grape Stomp has grown to include over 120 teams vying to be known as “Champion of the Juice” or winner of the “Best Costume” award. Come witness the Largest and Oldest Grape Stomp Competition in California!

Jamestown, CA...Join the ATCAA Food Bank to help raise awareness and provide help for people in our community who are hungry. The first annual Empty Bowls event, a fundraising concept that is internationally recognized will be held at the Food Bank warehouse on September 29th at 5:30pm. For $35 per person, join us for a simple meal of soup, bread, salad and dessert. Presentation, raffle, live auction and a performance by Summerville High’s Jazz@8 choir is also on the menu. Beer and wine available for purchase. Take home an “Empty Bowl” hand decorated by local elementary students. Go to ATCAA.org to purchase tickets or call the Food Bank at 984-3960 x104. Hurry! San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 20th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 29th from 7am to noon at the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. In addition to the many valuable services and information that will be available; this year the MACT Health Board, Inc. will have two of their Optometrists from their San Andreas Clinic at the 20th Annual Fall Health Fair to provide free vison and glaucoma screenings.
