Angels Camp, CA...Long-time Angels Camp residents Joan and George Loomis, who have fostered 1,200 children in Calaveras County and volunteered countless community service hours, will be the Grand Marshals in the 28th annual Angels Camp Parade of Lights beginning at 5 p.m. November 24. Dwayne Garcia, president of the Angels Camp Business Association, which hosts the parade and the annual Downtown Angels Holiday Open House the Saturday after Thanksgiving, said he is delighted that Joan and George will be the Grand Marshals this year.

Another Great Day in Murphys Honoring Those Who Served

Muprhys, CA...Last Sunday local veterans, friends, families and community members gathered to pay homage to those who literally put service to their country above self. This year again featured presentations on the various branches from students from Jennifer Berry's class at Albert Michelson Elementary school.  Music from the Calaveras Communty Band and more,  When you visit Murphys whether you are a visitor or a local resident take a few minutes to visit the park. We had posted the video of the program earlier but now the photos are below as well.
