Murphys, CA...Halloween came early in Murphys last Saturday as Murphys was filled with Witches trick or treating up and down Main Street. The 4th Annual Downtown Murphys Witch Walk was Fun for the whole coven! There was eating, drinking, and shopping throughout Downtown Murphys. The ladies dressed to impress in their Witch of Eastwick, Harry Potter character, Maleficent, sorcerers Saruman or Gandalf, Winifred, Sarah or Mary, the witches of MacBeth or the Good Witch of the North or the Wicked Witch of the East, or whatever other fascinating fantastical mystical character they could conjure. The 2019 Mark Twain Wild West Fest Brought Thousands to Angels Camp for Historic Family Fun

Angels Camp, CA...The 2019 Mark Twain Wild West Fest was a free, full day of entertainment with historical reenactors, live music and storytelling, and fun, family-friendly activities, celebrating Angels Camp's connection to Mark Twain. It takes place annually on the third Saturday in October and this year the perfect weather and historical setting drew thousands to Historic Downtown Angels Camp. Mark Twain made his annual appearance and this year he told us he cam directly from working his claim on Jackass Hill. In addition to Mark Twain this year's frog jump winner Logan Busch appeared with his family as his plaque was unveiled on the frog hop of fame. We have photos and video below. San Andreas, CA...Many men neglect their health. Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) highlights oft-heard excuses and offers tips on how to take action at a Nov. 15 luncheon workshop. The session is from 10 a.m. to noon and includes a complimentary luncheon. “The central theme is to make time to take care of yourself,” says Doug Archer, MTMC President and CEO. “Men tend to overlook their own health as everyday demands pull them in many different directions,” he adds.

Your 6-mile, 45-minute roundtrip train ride will take you past the water tower from Petticoat Junction, and transport you from the backyards of Jamestown to the rugged hillsides of California’s Mother Lode country. At the end of the line (Rock Spur), your train will pause as the locomotive uncouples, runs around your car on a side track, then re-couples to the train’s opposite end for the return trip to Railtown.
