Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! So..................As the morning wakes up we picked up 2" of new overnight and it's currently snowing with lite snowfall. Today 4-8" of new snow looks to be on tap and then tapering in the evening. Saturday looks to return with 2-4" during the day with 11-17" Saturday night, Sunday day 13-19", Sunday night 10-14" and continuing well into next week at the current model runs. Monday might have a short warming period but we'll wait to see how that plays out. Cold air from these systems will bring snow levels down to 2000' but Sunday evening we could see that level rise to possibly 7000'. We are in the cycle right now Good People for the next 2-3 weeks and the Holiday season is lining up for some great fun on the slopes. Backcountry riding should be approached with caution, so consider sitting the current system out due to CONSIDERABLE instability and super low density snowpack. Winter begins so let's get to it! White Pines, CA...The 5th Annual Christmas in White Pines Parade of Lights is November 29th! Enter a the parade or be a sponsor. Join us as we light up Blagen Rd and celebrate kicking off the holidays. Santa and Ms. Claus will be a the Gazebo at 6:00 pm to visit with the children and the parade starts at 7:00pm. Blagen Road will close at 6:50pm. Hope you can join us.
Sonora, CA...The 36th Annual Historic Sonora Christmas Parade will be this Friday, November 29th at 6:00 pm. This brightly lit night-time parade starts at the Historic Red Church and follows Washington Street to Restano Way. Historic Downtown Sonora will be transformed almost overnight with all the holiday decorations up and the wreaths downtown sparkling with lights, the Christmas tree is in place and the merchants are festively decorating their shops all getting ready for the Holidays and the Annual Christmas Parade.

Murphys, CA...13th Annual Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot is November 28, 2019 at Murphys Park – 505 Algiers Street, Murphys. Friends, Family, Fun and a little bit of Fitness to start your Thanksgiving off on the right (or left) foot. 2.5 and 5 mile run/walk/stroll/skip courses. This is NOT an official timed race, but a fun community event. 8:00am – registration begins ONLY if you think you are going to finish in the top 10. Fee: Non perishable food requested – donated to the Murphys Senior Center.
