Far West Central Series Bear Valley Slalom Race Kicks Off This Weekend! |

Bear Valley, CA...The Bear Valley Sports Education Foundation played host this weekend for the first Far West Central Series Race for 2008. This was the first Slalom race of the year. The kids that participated in the weekend race ranged from ages 6 through 18. Teams that participated were the Bear Valley Race Team, Dodge Ridge Race Team , Sierra Summit, and the Yosemite Race Team from Badger Pass. There were almost 130 racers that converged on Bear Valley this weekend. The next race will be held in Dodge Ridge on February 2~3rd and it will be a Giant Slalom. We provided ongoing coverage throughout the weekend of these very talented young athletes....

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras County Arts Council has announced that seats are still available for the 7:00 pm evening show on Sunday, January 13 featuring The Sons of the San Joaquin, but the 3:00 matinee is sold out. The concert by the ever-popular “singing cowboys” will be held in the Bret Harte Theatre, 323 Highway 49, on the campus of the high school in Angels Camp....
