Murphys, CA...Grover Anderson and the Lampoliers ~ Friday, March 15! Whether you find his writing wicked or charming, there’s no denying Grover is a product of Calaveras County, following in the footsteps of Mark Twain and Bret Harte. March marks the 10th anniversary of his breakout album The Optimist, and he'll perform songs from it (along with plenty of others) with his band The Lampoliers—Josh Certo, Dave Duggan, Owen Ragland, and Graham Richards. (A “lampolier” is a soul-devouring demon who dwells in abandoned mines and is probably not a word that Grover made up.)

Bear Valley, CA...Trailblazers is a youth nordic ski program designed to teach cross country skiing through activities, games, and adventure. Families can choose one (Friday or Sunday) or both Friday & Sunday each week, depending on which meets their schedule best. Instructors will encourage a supportive team environment that still allows for individual growth. Groups are based on age and ability, where teams can progress skills and confidence appropriately. We have found that regular training quickly advances a child’s skills and creates a solid skiing foundation. This fun and physical program promotes a life-long passion for skiing and snowsports.
