Blue Mountain Group Awared Grant From Home Depot!

West Point, California, August, 2012 – Through its Community Impact Grants Program, The Home Depot® Foundation has awarded $4,400 to the BMC Workshop of the Blue Mountain Community Renewal Council. Two Men Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Drug Paraphernalia

(Railroad Flat, CA) On 07/31/12 at approx. 12:40 PM, Calaveras Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a burglary follow-up investigation near a residence on the 1400 block of Ridge Road in Railroad Flat. During the investigation they observed a Jeep being driven by Carlos Nunez (30) of Railroad Flat, pull into the driveway of the residence. ALMA performs for Calaveras Arts in Mokelumne Hill July 25

Mokelumne Hill, CA...They are a little Latin, Rock, and Reggae. ALMA is performing at Mokelumne Hill for Calaveras Arts MIP on July 25. Local band ALMA is performing at Shutter Tree Park in Mokelumne Hill for the Calaveras Arts Council’s free Music in the Parks series. Music fills the park starting at 6:30p on July 25, 2012. ALMA is a high energy dance band from Northern California, blending fresh and original varieties of Latin, rock, reggae, hip hop and flamenco music. With musical influences from Jamaica, Spain, Cuba and the America's, ALMA takes the most potent rhythms from these cultures and infuses them into an intoxicating musical experience. Six Fires Locally Yesterday in the Tuolumne Calaveras Area

San Andreas, CA...There were six fires locally yesterday in our area. Many of which were lightening related. The largest was the Gopher fire at 75 acres near Copperopolis. Then there was the Melones fire near New Melones at about 2 acres. The Meadow fire came in at the third largest at ½ acre near Big Trees. Then there were the Fork and the Hogs fires that were in the 1/8th of an acre range...

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Debra "Debbie" Sue Orbe so sadly passed away on July 12th, 2012 of Natural Causes. She was 59. Debra was a native of Wolf Point, MT, Grew upin Bozeman, MT& Moved to Elko, NV in 1974, Sacramento, CA in 1988, settling in Mokelumne Hill, CA in 1995. Calaveras County, CA..The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close State Route 26 at Main Street/ West Point for utility work. Work will begin on Monday, July 16, 2012, through Friday, July 20, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Motorists should expect 5 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible....
